What better time to join the genealogy blogging world than on the eve of my departure for RootsTech 2012 in Salt Lake City? For once the city will be more than a mere airport transfer point. It will be a visit of firsts – my first RootsTech conference, first visit to the Family History Library, and first APG Professional Management Conference.

Warm coat? Check. Every tech gadget I own? Check. Camera? Check. Ready to Tweet and blog? Check.

Check back over the next few days and see if I can get the hang of this attending a conference and blogging thing. I may not be as clever as those guys who do live blogging at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference or at the latest Android tech announcement, but I will have fun trying.
